MEP Anchor Point Layout Project

Kiewit Canada used LightYX on a Rail Transportation Line Extension project for MEP anchor point layout on a flat deck. The scope included projecting and marking thousands of anchor points across a 9,500 sq. ft. area.

Using the LightYX BeamerOne system, the team was able to bring the digital layout directly to the field and project MEP anchor locations onto the slab. This allowed the crew to move through the layout work much faster than a conventional total station workflow, especially for a dense point layout with more than 2,000 anchors.

Layout Productivity Results

LightYX helped Kiewit Canada complete 2,101 MEP anchor points in 4 days with a 1-person crew, averaging 525 points per day.

The customer highlighted the time difference compared with conventional total station layout, explaining that the same thousands of points could take months using the traditional workflow, while LightYX reduced the work to a matter of days.
